ShortsShield AI is committed to permission-based marketing. This policy describes how we handle our own email communications and what we require of affiliates who promote ShortsShield AI to their email lists.
1. Our Email Practices
We send the following categories of email:
- Transactional emails (purchase confirmations, password resets, refund notifications, security alerts). These are necessary to deliver the Service and you cannot opt out of them while you have an active account.
- Product updates (new features, policy notices, scheduled maintenance). These are sent to active users and are limited in volume.
- Optional marketing & education (tips, case studies, related offers). You may opt out of these at any time using the unsubscribe link in any such email or by emailing support@shortsshield.com.
All commercial email we send complies with the U.S. CAN-SPAM Act (15 U.S.C. § 7701 et seq.) and, where applicable, Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), the EU GDPR, and the UK PECR.
2. CAN-SPAM Compliance Specifics
For commercial messages we send, we will:
- Use accurate "From," "To," "Reply-To," and routing information that identifies us.
- Use truthful subject lines that accurately reflect the content of the message.
- Identify the message as an advertisement where required.
- Include our physical postal address.
- Tell you how to opt out of receiving future emails.
- Honor opt-out requests promptly — within 10 business days at the latest.
- Monitor what others are doing on our behalf.
3. Rules for Affiliates Promoting ShortsShield AI
If you are an affiliate of ShortsShield AI promoting our product to an email list, you must comply with the following requirements. These are conditions of your participation in our affiliate program (see Affiliate Terms).
3.1 Permission-Based Lists Only
You may only email subscribers who have given you explicit permission to receive commercial email from you. You may not:
- Promote ShortsShield AI to purchased, rented, scraped, harvested, or co-registered lists.
- Email people who unsubscribed from your list previously.
- Email people who never subscribed to receive commercial messages from you.
3.2 Required Disclosures
Every commercial email mentioning ShortsShield AI must include:
- An accurate sender identification.
- A truthful subject line.
- A clear and conspicuous affiliate disclosure where you mention or link to our product (e.g., "I'm an affiliate and may earn a commission if you purchase through this link").
- A working unsubscribe mechanism.
- Your physical postal address.
3.3 Prohibited Tactics
The following tactics are strictly prohibited and will result in immediate termination of your affiliate account:
- Using deceptive subject lines (e.g., "RE:" when the email is not a reply, fake personalization, false urgency).
- Spoofing email headers or domain names.
- Falsely implying endorsement by ShortsShield AI, its team, or any third party.
- Promising specific income, channel growth, or monetization outcomes that are not supported by our Earnings Disclaimer.
- Using shock-value or fear-mongering language inconsistent with our brand.
- Sending unsolicited DMs through social platforms in violation of those platforms' terms.
3.4 Compliance Across Jurisdictions
If you email subscribers outside the United States, you are also responsible for complying with their jurisdiction's anti-spam laws — for example, CASL (Canada), GDPR + PECR (EU/UK), and the Australian Spam Act. We expect affiliates to know and follow the laws applicable to their lists.
4. Reporting Spam
If you received a commercial email mentioning ShortsShield AI that you believe violates this policy or applicable law:
- Forward the full email (with headers) to abuse@shortsshield.com.
- We will investigate and, where confirmed, take action against the sender, up to and including termination of any affiliate account associated with the message.
5. Right to Refuse Affiliates
We reserve the right to refuse, suspend, or terminate any affiliate relationship at our discretion, particularly where promotional practices place our brand or compliance posture at risk.
